About Plane Silly
Aviation humour for people who understand the punchline.
Most aviation merchandise is either a generic silhouette of an aeroplane or an in-joke that stops being funny once you have heard it at three different airfields. We thought there was room for something better: real jokes, properly designed, that only land if you have actually sat in the seat.
Who this is for
Airline pilots on their fourth sector. Private pilots who flew forty minutes for a bacon roll. Instructors who have said "my controls" through gritted teeth. Students counting hours in fractions. Helicopter crews, cabin crew, and the people at the fence with a long lens and a flask of tea. If the joke needs explaining, it is not one of ours.
How it's made
Everything is made on demand. Nothing exists until you buy it, and it is made at whichever facility is closest to you — so a UK order is produced in Europe and a US order in the States. That means no warehouse full of unsold 3XL shirts in a design nobody wanted, and a much shorter journey to your door.
The trade-off is honest: it takes a couple of days longer than a warehouse-and-courier operation, because your order does not exist when you place it. We think that is a fair swap for not throwing away thousands of unsold garments a year.
Delivery is always free
Postage is built into the price rather than added at the end. No minimum spend, no surprise at the checkout, no shipping calculator. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay.
New designs, most weeks
We add two or three new designs a week. The quickest way to see them is the shop page, where anything added in the last three weeks carries a "New" badge.
A note on trademarks
We design our own jokes. Plane Silly is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any airline, aircraft manufacturer or aviation authority, and we deliberately steer clear of their names, liveries and logos. The humour is about flying, not about anyone's brand.
